MAESTRO SHEN HONGXUN

Dear friends,

It is with great sadness that we inform you all that on 26th October at 3.40pm our father Dr Shen Hongxun passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, friends and students together with the loving thoughts from people near and far.

We would like to invite you to a celebration of his life and enduring legacy on Saturday 5th November 11am at St-Pieterschurch, St-Pietersplein, Gent.

After the service we will accompany him to the cemetery and then gather for light refreshments to share our fond memories together at the local Holiday Inn (located by the Gent Expo).

We would kindly request that you follow the Chinese tradition of wearing dark clothes.

As we anticipate a very large number of people we would also request that you indicate your attendance via email by Wednesday 2nd November to info@buqi.net.

Till Friday 4th November Dr Shen Hongxun rests in the Rouwcenter, Beukenlaan 88, 9051 Sint-Denijs-Westrem. Well-wishers are also invited to pay their last respects to Dr Shen at the funeral home between 5.00 and 7.00 pm and leave their own personal messages to him in the book of remembrance.

Lastly, can we both take this opportunity to thank all those who have send their warm wishes and condolences and hope to see you all on Saturday.

Il Maestro Shen mi ha fatto scoprire la magia del lavorare con l’energia del cielo e della terra  fuori,  all’aperto. In Liguria in riva al mare, ma anche nei cortili degli oratori di Milano. Da allora non ho più potuto fare altrimenti. In inverno quando fuori non si può proprio, lavoro in casa con le finestre aperte. Grazie Maestro Shen.
